They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Blixten McQueen could be found in Group 3 together with Vakant, Jarå 1, Lingonligan, VSIPINAL, Bengan Boys, Joosagrogg and FC Skeune. Blixten McQueen continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Böffes JR with 9-10. In the Final, Vinslövs HK won over Böffes JR and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Öppen klass Herrar. Blixten McQueen comes from Kristianstad which lies approximately 14 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place.
