Vakant was one of 254 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They participated with one team in Öppen klass Herrar.
In addition to Vakant, 39 other teams played in Öppen klass Herrar. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Vakant could be found in Group 3 together with Jarå 1, Lingonligan, Blixten McQueen, VSIPINAL, Bengan Boys, Joosagrogg and FC Skeune. Vakant continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against 2Flow with 5-6. In the Final, Fyrasvenskarendansk won over USIF and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Öppen klass Herrar. Vakant comes from Lund which lies approximately 76 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place.
