In addition to Föreningen Karlskrona Handboll, 59 other teams played in Pojkar 2002. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Föreningen Karlskrona Handboll could be found in Group 4 together with Eskilstuna Guif IF, Norrköpings HK, Åhus Handboll 2, HK Aranäs, Tollarps IF, IFK Kristianstad 3, IK Bolton 2, H43 Lund HF 1 and Ystads IF HF 3.

Föreningen Karlskrona Handboll continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 7:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Ystads IF HF 3 with 7-8. In the Final, IFK Kristianstad 1 won over Ystads IF HF 3 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002.
