In addition to Eskilstuna Guif IF, 59 other teams played in Pojkar 2002. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Eskilstuna Guif IF could be found in Group 4 together with Norrköpings HK, Åhus Handboll 2, Föreningen Karlskrona Handboll, HK Aranäs, Tollarps IF, IFK Kristianstad 3, IK Bolton 2, H43 Lund HF 1 and Ystads IF HF 3.

Eskilstuna Guif IF continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Vetlanda HF 1 with 10-11. In the Final, IFK Kristianstad 1 won over Ystads IF HF 3 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002.
