In addition to the four Åhus teams, 36 other teams played in Pojkar 16 år (födda 2006). They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll 2 could be found in Group 2 together with H43 Lund HF 1 H43 Lund 1, Ljunghusens HK, Eskilstuna Guif IF P-07 Röd, Halmstad Handboll, RP IF Linköping, IFK Malmö HF 2, Stavsten HK P16, IFK Bankeryd 07 and IFK Kristianstad 1.

Åhus Handboll 2 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Åhus Handboll P07 1 with 11-12. In the Final, Lugi HF Vit won over RP IF Linköping and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 16 år (födda 2006).
