In addition to the two IFK Malmö teams, 38 other teams played in Pojkar 16 år (födda 2006). They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof IFK Malmö HF 2 could be found in Group 2 together with H43 Lund HF 1 H43 Lund 1, Ljunghusens HK, Eskilstuna Guif IF P-07 Röd, Åhus Handboll 2, Halmstad Handboll, RP IF Linköping, Stavsten HK P16, IFK Bankeryd 07 and IFK Kristianstad 1.
IFK Malmö HF 2 continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 9:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against IFK Bankeryd vit with 7-9.
