HK Malmö was one of 250 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2024. They participated with 8 teams in Pojkar 18 år Classic (födda 2006), Herrar Junior 19-20 år Classic (födda 2004-2005), Elitklass Herr Classic, Flickor 16 år Classic (födda 2008) and Parahandboll - Gående klass Classic respectively. The team in Elitklass Herr Classic made it to the the Semi final in A-Slutspel, but lost it against IFK Kristianstad 2 by 7-10.
In addition to this, HK Malmö have participated in Åhus Beachhandboll Festival before. During Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2023, Malmö had 5 teams playing in Pojkar 17 år (födda 2006), Pojkar 18 år (födda 2005), Elitklass Herr, Flickor 17 år (födda 2006) and Parahandboll - Gående klass respectively. The team in Parahandboll - Gående klass made it to the the Bronze match in A-Slutspeland won it over Alingsås HK 2 HFA 2 by 8-7. Malmö comes from MALMÖ which lies approximately 90 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around MALMÖ does also provide 55 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2024 (Among others: LVHK 03, Mellangården FC, Dalby, H43 Lund HF, KHF, B-laget, Dalby GIF, HK Svalöv, Lödde Vikings HK and KFUM Lundagård).
