Växjö IBK was one of 118 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Warbergsspelen 2016. They participated with one team in Flickor 02.

In addition to Växjö IBK, 18 other teams played in Flickor 02. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Växjö IBK could be found in Group D together with SST NET Landskrona IBK, Pixbo Wallenstam IBF, Wårgårda IBK and Onsala IBK 2.

Växjö IBK continued to Slutspel B after reaching 4:th place in Group D. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Sarpsborg IBK with 4-5. In the Final, Färjestadens ibk won over Onsala IBK 2 and became the winner of Slutspel B in Flickor 02.

Växjö IBK comes from Växjö which lies approximately 150 km from Varberg, where Warbergsspelen takes place. The area around Växjö does also provide 9 additional clubs participating during Warbergsspelen 2016 (Alvesta IBK, Gransholms IF, Hovshaga AIF, Braås GoIF, Växjö IBK Vipers, IBK Vöikers, Hovmantorp goif, IBK Vöikers P05 and Öjaby Sport).
