In addition to the two Enköpings teams, 48 other teams played in Pojkar 2000 A1. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Enköpings HF 1 could be found in Group 2 together with Uppsala HK 1, IFK Tumba Sthlm 1, Karlskrona Handboll 1, H43 Lund 2, Svedala HK, KFUM Kalmar HK 1, IFK Kristianstad 1, Eslövs HF 1 and Halmstad Handboll 1.

Enköpings HF 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against H43 Lund 1 with 10-14. In the Final, LUGI HF 1 won over H43 Lund 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2000 A1.
