In addition to the two Eslövs teams, 48 other teams played in Pojkar 2000 A1. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Eslövs HF 1 could be found in Group 2 together with Uppsala HK 1, IFK Tumba Sthlm 1, Karlskrona Handboll 1, H43 Lund 2, Svedala HK, KFUM Kalmar HK 1, IFK Kristianstad 1, Halmstad Handboll 1 and Enköpings HF 1.

Eslövs HF 1 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Enköpings HF 2 with 9-11. In the Final, Ystads IF HF 1 won over LUGI HF 2 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2000 A1.
