In addition to the three Eslövs teams, 67 other teams played in Pojkar 2002 B1. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Eslövs HF 3 could be found in Group 3 together with Lugi HF 2, HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm, Kristianstad HK 1, HK Guldkroken Hjo, Kävlinge HK 1, Halmstad Handboll 2, Ystads IF HF 1, Hultsfreds HF and Uppsala HK 2.

Eslövs HF 3 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 7:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against IFK Kristianstad 2 with 5-12. In the Final, Lugi HF 2 won over H 65 Höör and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002 B1.
