In addition to Rimbo HK Roslagen, 69 other teams played in Pojkar 2005 D2. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Rimbo HK Roslagen could be found in Group 4 together with Bjärnums HK 2, HK Aranäs Kungsbacka 1, Västerås Irsta HF 2, Tollarps IF 2, Vinslövs HK 2, IFK Kristianstad 1, Karlskrona Handboll 1, H 65 Höör 1 and Halmstad Handboll 3.

Rimbo HK Roslagen continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against LVHK Lödde 1 with 3-10. In the Final, LVHK Lödde 1 won over IFK Bankeryd 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2005 D2.
