In addition to the two Kävlinge teams, 57 other teams played in Flickor 2005 D2. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Kävlinge HK 2 could be found in Group 3 together with GW Landskrona HK 3, Åhus Handboll 2, Haninge HK Stockholm 1, Trelleborg HBK 1, Tyresö Handboll 1, Huddinge HK Sthlm 2, Näsby Handboll 1 and Alingsås HK 2.

Kävlinge HK 2 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 7:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Kristianstad HK 1 with 5-6. In the Final, Staffanstorps HK won over Kristianstad HK 1 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Flickor 2005 D2.
