In addition to the two Kävlinge teams, 56 other teams played in Flickor 2001 B2. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Kävlinge HK 1 could be found in Group 2 together with Halmstad Handboll 1, IFK Klagshamn 1, TV Bodenheim 1848, Kristianstad HK 2, Gustavsbergs IF HK 2, Kärra HF Göteborg, Kristianstad HK 1 and IF Guif Eskilstuna.

Kävlinge HK 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Spånga HK Stockholm with 9-11. In the Final, H43 Lund 1 won over Näsby Handboll 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2001 B2.
