In addition to Eslövs IK, 44 other teams played in Flickor 2000 A1. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Eslövs IK could be found in Group 3 together with H 65 Höör 1, Finspångs HK, KFUM Lundagård, Kristianstad HK 2, Borlänge HK 2, Skara HF 2, Uppsala HK 1 and Rimbo HK Roslagen.

Eslövs IK made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 3. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm 1, which they won with 13-12. Thereby Eslövs IK won the entire A-Slutspel in Flickor 2000 A1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
