IFK Karlsborg F02

IFK Karlsborg was one of 324 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They participated with one team in Flickor 2002 B1.

In addition to IFK Karlsborg, 66 other teams played in Flickor 2002 B1. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof IFK Karlsborg could be found in Group 5 together with Spånga HK Stockholm 2, IFK Tumba Sthlm 2, H 65 Höör 3, LUGI HF 1, Eslövs IK 2, Näsby Handboll 1, Borlänge HK 4, Karlskrona Handboll 1 and Åhus Handboll 2.

IFK Karlsborg continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Kärra HF Göteborg with 9-13. In the Final, HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm won over Kärra HF Göteborg and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2002 B1.

IFK Karlsborg comes from Karlsborg which lies approximately 290 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Karlsborg does also provide three additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016 (Vadstena HF, HK Guldkroken Hjo and Motståndarna).
