Kungälvs HK was one of 284 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They participated with two teams in Pojkar 2004 C2 and Flickor 2003 B1 respectively. Two teams played until Semi final in C-Slutspel; Pojkar 2004 C2 lost against IFK Bankeryd by 6-12 and Flickor 2003 B1 lost against Eslövs IK 5 by 4-5.
In addition to this, Kungälvs HK have participated in Åhus Beachhandboll Festival before. During Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016, Kungälvs had one team playing in Flickor 2001 B2.
