Homegirls was one of 284 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They participated with one team in Öppen klass Damer.
In addition to Homegirls, 31 other teams played in Öppen klass Damer. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Homegirls could be found in Group 1 together with Vinslövs HK 2, Republikskrik, The tall woodswomen, HP Warta, H43 Lund 1, Fricks Cement and Söderbönor 2. Homegirls continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Hej Sash with 11-13. In the Final, Hej Sash won over IFK Kristianstad 1 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Öppen klass Damer. Homegirls comes from Kävlinge which lies approximately 77 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place.
