In addition to the two Bolton Sthlm teams, 76 other teams played in Pojkar 2002 B2. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof IK Bolton Sthlm 1 could be found in Group 2 together with Ystads IF HF 3, Vadstena HF, Trelleborg HBK 2, IFK Kristianstad 1, Alingsås HK 2, H43 Lund 2, IFK Tumba Sthlm 3, HK Ankaret Bjärred Lag 1 and Växjö HF 1.

IK Bolton Sthlm 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against LVHK Lödde 1 with 8-10. In the Final, LVHK Lödde 1 won over HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002 B2.
