In addition to the 5 Ystads teams, 73 other teams played in Pojkar 2002 B2. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Ystads IF HF 3 could be found in Group 2 together with IK Bolton Sthlm 1, Vadstena HF, Trelleborg HBK 2, IFK Kristianstad 1, Alingsås HK 2, H43 Lund 2, IFK Tumba Sthlm 3, HK Ankaret Bjärred Lag 1 and Växjö HF 1.
Ystads IF HF 3 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Staffanstorps HK 2 with 12-13. In the Final, Rimbo HK Roslagen won over HK Aranäs Kungsbacka 1 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002 B2. Ystads IF HF also participated in Pojkar 2002 B1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
