Silver medal! Reached second place in A-Slutspel

In addition to the three Ystads teams, 56 other teams played in Pojkar 2006 D2. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Ystads IF HF 2 could be found in Group 1 together with Göinge HK, IFK Bankeryd 2, Uppsala HK 1, H 78 Sölvesborg 1, HK Aranäs Kungsbacka 1, Önnereds HK Gbg Grön, Åhus Handboll 2, Kävlinge HK and Staffanstorps HK Östrand.
Ystads IF HF 2 made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 1. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against H43 Lund 1 with 9-11. Thereby Ystads IF HF 2 finished second in P06 A-Slutspel during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. Ystads IF HF also participated in Pojkar 2006 D1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
