In addition to the three Ystads teams, 56 other teams played in Pojkar 2006 D2. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Ystads IF HF 1 could be found in Group 3 together with Ljunghusens HK 1, Eslövs HF 2, Växjö HF 1, Karlskrona Handboll 1, IFK Kristianstad 1, Halmstad Handboll 1, IK Lågan Hörby 1, Tollarps IF and OV Helsingborg HK.

Ystads IF HF 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against H43 Lund 2 with 7-10. In the Final, H43 Lund 1 won over Ystads IF HF 2 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006 D2.

Ystads IF HF also participated in Pojkar 2006 D1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They reached the Semi final in P06 A-Slutspel, but lost it against H43 Lund 1 with 6-8.
