In addition to the two Ystads teams, 48 other teams played in Flickor 2001 A1. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Ystads IF HF 1 could be found in Group 2 together with IFK Tumba Sthlm IFK Tumba HK Vit, Kärra HF Göteborg 1, H 65 Höör H65 1, IK Lågan Hörby 1, KFUM Lundagård 2, HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm 1, Kävlinge HK 1, Halmstad Handboll and Falu HK 1.

Ystads IF HF 1 continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 10:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Kävlinge HK 1 with 12-15. In the Final, Halmstad Handboll won over IK Lågan Hörby 2 and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Flickor 2001 A1.

Ystads IF HF also participated in Flickor 2001 B2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They reached the 1/4 Final in F01 B-Slutspel, but lost it against IK Pandora Ystad with 8-9.
