HGMSBSGPS & the Hashtaggersfaggers was one of 284 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They participated with one team in Öppen klass Herrar.

In addition to HGMSBSGPS & the Hashtaggersfaggers, 31 other teams played in Öppen klass Herrar. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof HGMSBSGPS & the Hashtaggersfaggers could be found in Group 4 together with Samlaget, Leos Slavar, IFK Kristianstad 1, Sannadals SK Stockholm, Jalles Grabbar, Mormors pojkar and Växjö färg & staket.

HGMSBSGPS & the Hashtaggersfaggers continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Mormors pojkar with 9-10. In the Final, Mormors pojkar won over Kärleken boys and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Öppen klass Herrar.

HGMSBSGPS & the Hashtaggersfaggers comes from Kristianstad which lies approximately 15 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Kristianstad does also provide 71 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017 (Among others: Uma-Ness Från Skåne, 3 kylskåp & 1 skoter, Arbetsförmedlingen Hässleholm-Eslöv, IFK ICE AGE, Ballingslöv, ATEA, Vakant 87, Tollarps IF, Göinge HK and PP-Pilsnerpojkarna).
