In addition to Bollstanäs SK Sthlm, 59 other teams played in Pojkar 2001 A1. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Bollstanäs SK Sthlm could be found in Group 1 together with IF Guif Eskilstuna 1, H43 Lund 6, Alingsås HK, Norrköpings HK, Karlskrona Handboll 1, Eslövs HF 2, Borlänge HK, LVHK Lödde and Åhus Handboll 4.

Bollstanäs SK Sthlm continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 7:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Uppsala HK 1 with 10-12. In the Final, IK Sund Helsingborg won over Ystads IF HF 2 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001 A1.
