In addition to the three Uppsala teams, 57 other teams played in Pojkar 2001 A1. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Uppsala HK 1 could be found in Group 6 together with Växjö HF 2, H43 Lund 4, IFK Kristianstad 1, Ystads IF HF 2, Skogås HK Sthlm, Åhus Handboll 2, Tollarps IF, IF Guif Eskilstuna 2 and Önnereds HK Gbg Lag 2.

Uppsala HK 1 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Enköpings HF 2 with 8-12. In the Final, IK Sund Helsingborg won over Ystads IF HF 2 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001 A1.

Uppsala HK also participated in Pojkar 2001 B2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They reached the final in A-Slutspel, but lost it against Halmstad Handboll 2 with 7-10 and ended up in second place.
