In addition to the two Uppsala teams, 57 other teams played in Pojkar 2006 D2. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Uppsala HK 1 could be found in Group 1 together with Göinge HK, IFK Bankeryd 2, H 78 Sölvesborg 1, HK Aranäs Kungsbacka 1, Önnereds HK Gbg Grön, Ystads IF HF 2, Åhus Handboll 2, Kävlinge HK and Staffanstorps HK Östrand.
Uppsala HK 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against HK Hök Laholm 1 with 9-12. In the Final, H43 Lund 1 won over Ystads IF HF 2 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006 D2. Uppsala HK also participated in Pojkar 2006 D1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
