In addition to the three Uppsala teams, 57 other teams played in Pojkar 2001 A1. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Uppsala HK 3 could be found in Group 5 together with Rimbo HK Roslagen, Halmstad Handboll 1, IK Lågan Hörby, Ystads IF HF 3, H43 Lund 1, Karlshamns HF, Ronneby HK, IK Sävehof Partille and IFK Kristianstad 3.

Uppsala HK 3 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Alingsås HK with 9-12. In the Final, Enköpings HF 1 won over Borlänge HK and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001 A1.

Uppsala HK also participated in Pojkar 2001 B2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They reached the final in A-Slutspel, but lost it against Halmstad Handboll 2 with 7-10 and ended up in second place.
