In addition to the two H43 Lund teams, 38 other teams played in Herrar Junior 97-99. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof H43 Lund 1 could be found in Group 4 together with Halmstad Handboll 2, Vinslövs HK, Kävlinge HK 2, Huddinge HK Sthlm, IFK Kristianstad 1, IFK Tumba Sthlm 3, IK Baltichov Gbg, IK Lågan Hörby and Åhus Handboll 1.

H43 Lund 1 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 7:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against IK Sävehof Partille with 8-9. In the Final, Huddinge HK Sthlm won over IK Sävehof Partille and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Herrar Junior 97-99.
