In addition to the 6 H43 Lund teams, 51 other teams played in Pojkar 2001. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof H43 Lund HF 1 could be found in Group 5 together with Hammarby IF HF, Åhus Handboll 2, Ystads IF HF 1, Önnereds HK 2, Falu HK, Vinslövs HK, IFK Bankeryd and IFK Tumba HK 2.

H43 Lund HF 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Göteborg Beach Handball Club (Borlänge HK) with 11-12. In the Final, IK Sävehof 1 won over Göteborg Beach Handball Club (Borlänge HK) and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001.
