In addition to the three Önnereds teams, 62 other teams played in Pojkar 2006. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Önnereds HK 3 could be found in Group 4 together with Ljunghusens HK 1, IFK Kristianstad 4, VästeråsIrsta HF, Halmstad Handboll 2, Torslanda HK, Föreningen Karlskrona Handboll Karlskrona Handboll P06 lag 1, H43 Lund HF 2, Lödde Vikings HK 1 and Ystads IF HF 1.

Önnereds HK 3 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Eslövs HF 1 with 4-6. In the Final, HK Silwing/Troja won over Eskilstuna Guif IF 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006.
