In addition to the four Ystads teams, 61 other teams played in Pojkar 2006. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Ystads IF HF 1 could be found in Group 4 together with Ljunghusens HK 1, IFK Kristianstad 4, VästeråsIrsta HF, Halmstad Handboll 2, Torslanda HK, Föreningen Karlskrona Handboll Karlskrona Handboll P06 lag 1, H43 Lund HF 2, Lödde Vikings HK 1 and Önnereds HK 3.
Ystads IF HF 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Lugi HF 2 with 9-10. In the Final, HK Silwing/Troja won over Eskilstuna Guif IF 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006. Ystads IF HF also participated in Pojkar 2006 D2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017.
