In addition to the two Älta teams, 47 other teams played in Flickor 2008. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Älta IF 2 could be found in Group 5 together with Ljunghusens HK 3, Vinslövs HK, Eslövs IK 1, IFK Bankeryd 2, H43 Lund HF 1, HK Ankaret - Hajarna, Höörs HK H 65 2, Gökstens BK 1 and Åhus Handboll 1.

Älta IF 2 continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 9:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Hässleholms HF with 3-6. In the Final, IFK Malmö HF 2 won over H43 Lund HF 2 and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Flickor 2008.
