In addition to the two Älta teams, 47 other teams played in Flickor 2008. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Älta IF 1 could be found in Group 2 together with Veberöds HK 2, H43 Lund HF 3, Lödde Vikings HK 2, Alingsås HK 2, Trelleborg Handbollsklubb TF, IFK Tumba HK 1, Ystads IF HF, Åhus Handboll 2 and Staffanstorps HK.

Älta IF 1 continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 10:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Föreningen Karlskrona Handboll with 2-7. In the Final, IFK Malmö HF 2 won over H43 Lund HF 2 and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Flickor 2008.
