In addition to the two Åhus teams, 47 other teams played in Flickor 2008. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll 1 could be found in Group 5 together with Ljunghusens HK 3, Vinslövs HK, Eslövs IK 1, IFK Bankeryd 2, H43 Lund HF 1, HK Ankaret - Hajarna, Älta IF 2, Höörs HK H 65 2 and Gökstens BK 1.

Åhus Handboll 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against IFK Tumba HK 1 with 8-10. In the Final, Lödde Vikings HK 1 won over Lödde Vikings HK 2 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2008.

Åhus Handboll also participated in Flickor 2008 E during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They reached the 1/4 Final in F08 A-Slutspel, but lost it against Hammarby IF Sthlm with 2-6.
