In addition to the three Åhus teams, 67 other teams played in Flickor 2002. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll 3 could be found in Group 2 together with Lödde Vikings HK, Uppsala HK, Sollentuna HK, AIK Handbollsförening 1, Föreningen Karlskrona Handboll, Lugi HF 4, Höörs HK H 65 2, Borlänge HK 4 and IK Lågan Hörby 1.

Åhus Handboll 3 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 7:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Ystads IF HF with 10-11. In the Final, Höörs HK H 65 2 won over Åhus Handboll 1 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Flickor 2002.

Åhus Handboll also participated in Flickor 2002 B2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They reached the 1/16 Final in F02 A-Slutspel, but lost it against H 65 Höör 2 with 11-12.
