Åhus Handboll was one of 254 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They participated with 53 teams in 20 out of Åhus Beachhandboll Festivals all 32 categories. Two teams played until Final in A-Slutspel; Flickor 2009 2 lost against Kävlinge HK 1 by 5-8 and Senior Förening Herrar lost against Vinslövs HK by 8-9.
In addition to this, Åhus Handboll have participated in Åhus Beachhandboll Festival before. During Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017, Åhus had 57 teams playing in 21 out of Åhus Beachhandboll Festivals all 29 categories. Two teams played until Final in A-Slutspel; Elit Dam won over Team Esbjerg HK 2 by 10-9 but Flickor 2004 C2 1 lost against Halmstad Handboll 3 by 10-11. Åhus originates from Åhus, which is the same city as where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Åhus does also provide 47 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018 (Among others: Daddy Cool, Hv Vinslöv, WickieZ Änglar, IFK Kristianstad, Kristianstad HK, Mormors pojkar, Sommarpågarna, Ateljé Lyktan, Tollo Linear AB and Tectum).
