In addition to the three Åhus teams, 62 other teams played in Pojkar 2006. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll 2 could be found in Group 7 together with Eskilstuna Guif IF 1, GF Kroppskultur, Växjö HF, Vinslövs HK, IK Lågan Hörby 2, H43 Lund HF 3, Ronneby HK 2 and Trelleborg Handbollsklubb Svart.

Åhus Handboll 2 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Halmstad Handboll 2 with 8-11. In the Final, Åhus Handboll 1 won over Halmstad Handboll 2 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006.

Åhus Handboll also participated in Pojkar 2006 D2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They reached the 1/8 Final in P06 A-Slutspel, but lost it against Ystads IF HF 1 with 7-8.
