In addition to the two Bolton teams, 58 other teams played in Pojkar 2002. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof IK Bolton 2 could be found in Group 4 together with Eskilstuna Guif IF, Norrköpings HK, Åhus Handboll 2, Föreningen Karlskrona Handboll, HK Aranäs, Tollarps IF, IFK Kristianstad 3, H43 Lund HF 1 and Ystads IF HF 3.

IK Bolton 2 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 8:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Ystads IF HF 3 with 5-10. In the Final, IFK Kristianstad 1 won over Ystads IF HF 3 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002.
