In addition to the two Kävlinge teams, 43 other teams played in Flickor 2001. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Kävlinge HK 2 could be found in Group 2 together with IK Lågan Hörby, Höörs HK H 65 3, Höörs HK H 65 1, IFK Tumba HK 2, Lugi HF 2, Uppsala HK 1, Borlänge HK 2 and IK Sävehof 2.

Kävlinge HK 2 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against IFK Kristianstad 1 with 8-9. In the Final, IK Sävehof 1 won over IFK Kristianstad 1 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Flickor 2001.

Kävlinge HK also participated in Flickor 2001 A1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They reached the Semi final in F01 C-Slutspel, but lost it against Halmstad Handboll with 9-13.
