In addition to the two Uppsala teams, 43 other teams played in Flickor 2001. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Uppsala HK 1 could be found in Group 2 together with IK Lågan Hörby, Kävlinge HK 2, Höörs HK H 65 3, Höörs HK H 65 1, IFK Tumba HK 2, Lugi HF 2, Borlänge HK 2 and IK Sävehof 2.

Uppsala HK 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Borlänge HK 1 with 8-11. In the Final, Borlänge HK 1 won over Kärra HF and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2001.

Uppsala HK also participated in Flickor 2001 A1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They won A-Slutspel, after beating Gustavsbergs IF HK in the final with 8-6.
