In addition to the two Uppsala teams, 43 other teams played in Flickor 2001. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Uppsala HK 2 could be found in Group 5 together with Falu HK, Lugi HF 1, IFK Kristianstad 2, Staffanstorps HK, IFK Bankeryd, IK Sävehof 1, HK Ankaret 2 and Ystads IF HF.

Uppsala HK 2 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Föreningen Karlskrona Handboll with 6-7. In the Final, IK Sävehof 1 won over IFK Kristianstad 1 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Flickor 2001.

Uppsala HK also participated in Flickor 2001 A1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They won A-Slutspel, after beating Gustavsbergs IF HK in the final with 8-6.
