In addition to Eslövs IK, 42 other teams played in Herrar Junior 98-00. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Eslövs IK could be found in Group 3 together with HK Aranäs, Lugi HF 3, IK Lågan Hörby, Trelleborg Handbollsklubb, Tyresö Handboll 2, IFK Bankeryd and Enköpings HF 1.

Eslövs IK continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against IK Sävehof with 8-10. In the Final, IFK Kristianstad 2 won over IK Sävehof and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Herrar Junior 98-00.
