In addition to Gustavsbergs IF HK, 28 other teams played in Flickor 2001. They were divided into 3 different groups, whereof Gustavsbergs IF HK could be found in Group 3 together with IF Hallby HK 1, Borlänge HK 1, Lugi HF, Uppsala HK Aflick, Alingsås HK 1, Kävlinge HK, IK Sävehof and Kärra HF 3.
Gustavsbergs IF HK continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against IFK Kristianstad with 5-7. In the Final, Kärra HF 1 won over IFK Kristianstad and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2001. Gustavsbergs IF HK also participated in Flickor 2001 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018.
