In addition to the two Borlänge teams, 27 other teams played in Flickor 2001. They were divided into 3 different groups, whereof Borlänge HK 1 could be found in Group 3 together with IF Hallby HK 1, Lugi HF, Uppsala HK Aflick, Gustavsbergs IF HK, Alingsås HK 1, Kävlinge HK, IK Sävehof and Kärra HF 3.
Borlänge HK 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Kärra HF 1 with 7-10. In the Final, Kärra HF 1 won over IFK Kristianstad and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2001. Borlänge HK also participated in Flickor 2001 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018.
