Svarta Fåren was one of 226 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2023. They participated with one team in Öppen klass Damer.

In addition to Svarta Fåren, 18 other teams played in Öppen klass Damer. They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof Svarta Fåren could be found in Group 2 together with Handqueens, Kävlinge HK 1, Oompa Loompas, Tollarps IF, Team van Stam, Gulbrunabrudar, B-laget and Weekend warriors.

Svarta Fåren made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 2. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against B-laget with 10-13. Thereby Svarta Fåren finished second in ÖKD A-Slutspel during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2023.

Svarta Fåren comes from Lund which lies approximately 75 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Lund does also provide 66 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2023 (Among others: Sopis, Staffanstorps HK, Guldkustens HK, HK Micro, HK Björnen, Byfånarna, Mammas pojkar, Bäst före detta, Powerheat Radio and Södra Rörum).
