Gröngula hjältar was one of 251 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2024. They participated with one team in Öppen klass Herrar Classic.

In addition to Gröngula hjältar, 71 other teams from 4 different countries played in Öppen klass Herrar Classic. They were divided into 9 different groups, whereof Gröngula hjältar could be found in Group 1 together with Josagrogg Originals, TSV Bonn rrh., MARRE BK, Quicksand, Unathletico Madrid, Lödde Vikings HK LVHK Röd and Bolton Big Ballers.

Gröngula hjältar continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Joulupukki with 8-9. In the Final, Böffes Juniorer won over Kaffekaga fc and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Öppen klass Herrar Classic.

Gröngula hjältar comes from Habo which lies approximately 220 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Habo does also provide 8 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2024 (Team Grogg, Gulgröna hjältar, BAS (Balkan All Stars), Habo HK, IFK Bankeryd, Claessons lärjungar, IF Hallby HK and HK Psyk).
