Marstrands IBK was one of 118 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Warbergsspelen 2016. They participated with one team in Pojkar 02.

In addition to Marstrands IBK, 25 other teams played in Pojkar 02. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Marstrands IBK could be found in Group F together with Rydboholms SK, SST NET Landskrona IBK, IBK Vöikers and Vinbergs IBS.

Marstrands IBK continued to Slutspel B after reaching 3:rd place in Group F. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Warberg IBF 2 with 2-7. In the Final, Åmåls IBK won over Warberg IBF 2 and became the winner of Slutspel B in Pojkar 02.

Marstrands IBK comes from Kungälv which lies approximately 89 km from Varberg, where Warbergsspelen takes place. The area around Kungälv does also provide 36 additional clubs participating during Warbergsspelen 2016 (Among others: IK Zenith, Floda IBK, IBK Göteborg, Lindome IBK, Pixbo Wallenstam IBF, Öckerö IBK, IBK Alingsås, Öckerö Innebandy, Frölunda IBK and Utbynäs SK).
