In addition to the two Vinslövs teams, 42 other teams played in Pojkar 2006 D1. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Vinslövs HK 1 could be found in Group 1 together with H 78 Sölvesborg, Eslövs HF 2, Halmstad Handboll 1, LVHK Lödde 1, Uppsala HK, Karlskrona Handboll 1, IK Lågan Hörby 1, IFK Kristianstad 3, GF Kroppskultur Uddevalla and Staffanstorps HK.

Vinslövs HK 1 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 7:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against IFK Kristianstad 1 with 6-9. In the Final, Alingsås HK 2 won over LVHK Lödde 2 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006 D1.
