In addition to the 6 Halmstad teams, 64 other teams played in Pojkar 2005 D2. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Halmstad Handboll 5 could be found in Group 3 together with LVHK Lödde 2, Tollarps IF 1, HK Ankaret Bjärred 2, IFK Kristianstad 4, Ronneby HK 2, Ystads IF HF 2, H43 Lund 2, HK Aranäs Kungsbacka 2 and IFK Tumba Sthlm.

Halmstad Handboll 5 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against H43 Lund 3 with 4-5. In the Final, Kävlinge HK 1 won over H43 Lund 3 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2005 D2.
